Brazil- Caipirinha

When it comes to Football, there is one team that stays on the top for being a fan favorite as well as skills that makes everyone go crazy, it’s no other than Brazil.  Brazil has played in the FIFA for 20 times out of which they have appeared in the finals for 7 times and won 5 times. Brazil national team have produced talents like Pele, Garrincha, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Kaka or the very young Neymar. Brazil gives all the things that we need in a football match, whether the excitement to watch their footwork, unpredictable stars and victories.

But when it comes to having a party, a country like Brazil never shy away, they are said to be one of the top contenders for the drinking parties. Brazil’s all about one thing: having fun. People don’t drink to get drunk, they drink to have a good time, and that means dancing your arse off. But if you are a first-timer or a tourist there is a drink that is just perfect for you may be a few fortifying Caipirinhas. Caipirinhas can be also the excuse to talk to another Brazil team fan because this is nothing new to hold a conversation about football while having a drink.

You don’t have to dig too deeply into Brazilian drinking habits before you bump into the Caipirinha. It’s the national cocktail and is made with Brazil’s most common and popular indigenous spirit: cachaça, a rum-like distillate. The caipirinha isn’t too far removed from its warm-weather drinking buddies, the margarita, and daiquiri. All share the tropical trinity of sugar, lime juice, and spirit. In the caipirinha’s case, half of a lime, cut into wedges, is muddled with sugar at the bottom of a rocks glass and then topped with cachaça and ice. It’s a simple drink, even if it does require a little elbow grease to make.

“A caipirinha is right on par with a mojito as a classic, refreshing, summertime drink,”
